It is known that the total number of applicants who applied for appearing in the Teachers Eligibility Test in Assam was 3,56,914 and out of them only 3,24,793 candidates appeared in the test. Thus it can be calculated that around 32,121 applicants changed their mind and decided not to appear. There were few bad incidents of fraudulent activity in certain centres and as many as 20 candidates were disqualified for using unfair means. All these 20 candidates were from Dhubri district with 16 out of them belonging to South Salmara.

There was also news regarding some question paper leak prior to the exam and two persons were arrested in that regard. But, it was later confirmed that those question papers were not authentic and had no match with the real question set being used in TET Assam. After successfully conducting the exam in the state, the empowered committee of TET is all prepared for the proper evaluation of the answersheet and has made some transparent & foolproof arrangements.

The evaluation of the answersheet is being done using three scanners under 24 hours CCTV surveillance and in the presence of 10 distinguished educationist who would be supervising the entire assessment process. Also, the doors to the room will be opened in the morning and closed at the evening in the presence of a magistrate. The 10 eminent educationist selected as part of the neutral observers for supervising the evaluation process are Dr N.K. Choudhury, Dr A.C.Bhagawati, Dr K.M.Pathak, Dr Dinesh Ch. Baishya, Dr N.G.Mahanta, Mr D.R.Boro, Dr Hitesh Deka, Prof. Dilip Kr. Baruah, Dr Ramesh Pathak and Dr Kandarpa Das.
